1940's women's advertising

About a year ago I found this book in a charity shop in Stoke for five pounds, but I didn't get it. Then a friend surprised me with it as a present. It is a hand made book made of a collection of Woman's Journal from 1946-1947.
There's no clue who put it together but it's full of short stories, fashion and adverts aimed at women.
It's so bizarre looking at the concepts that were once used to sell things, some of them are shocking in the way women are portrayed but also funny from a modern perspective.
I'm quite happy things have changed now, Stoke has good charity shops and I have good friends....

Anyway I HAD to scan these in
