If any one ever goes to Buxton then this book shops is a massive, glittery, book lovers gem, and not many people know about it.
It's literally an Aladdin's cave of amazing Victorian books and cheap second hand paperbacks.
They bind books on the first floor where the shop entrance is; even that area is floor to ceiling with books.
When I first went in there it was a dream come true, I didn't know where to start, a few floors up is a small tea and coffee area and seats where if you put a few pennies in the jar you can browse and have a drink.
There's an amazing floor of poetry and drama as well as shelves of sheet music and an old fashioned pipe organ above that is an attic full foreign textbooks and OS maps, plus a cheeky section round a hidden corner. There's a section on almost every subject, but for me the best bit is the paper back fiction section, there's loads of old Penguins and if you look hard enough some Folio books.
Anyway Scrivener's is da bomb, I'd go to Buxton just to go there.
I hope it stays open forever and ever.
