The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test

The book I'm reading at the moment, by Tom Wolfe. It's all about Ken Kesey (author of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest) and the group of people who flocked around him called The Merry Pranksters.
It documents their use of LSD and psychedelic drugs in the days when it was legal, and the amazing revelations and adventures they had during this. From what I can tell Tom Wolfe had some first hand experience with the Pranksters. There are some awesome references in this book too, Alan Ginsberg makes a few appearances and The Grateful Dead play at many of the Acid Tests
It's so good to read a book with some relation to what really happened in the Hippie days. It also talks about acid in a normal way, without forcing horror stories down your throat.
I haven't finished it yet, but if you're interested in the 60's then I think you should read it one day.
Apparently someone is making it into a film, it should be good, as long as they don't shit all over it.
Let's see if it becomes really well known and popular once
that happens, unfortunately I think it will do.
