New shizz

Here's a little snippet of my new project, illustrating a German Fairytale called The Singing Ringing Tree.
I've been drawing a bit of inspiration from an old book I had as a little girl and found again recently.
The Kingdom Under the Sea illustrated by Jan Pienkowski, check out some of his work (he also did one of my favourites 'Meg and Mog') I scanned these images from my actual book.

Well here are some of the characters I've drawn out and then made vector versions on Illustrator, the first time I've ever done it mind so I'm quite chuffed.
It's taken me ages to man up and try and have a go on Illustrator.

Potteries dialect

Yes in Stoke, people say weird things
So I did some graffiti based on the wonderful potteries dialect, came back a week later to take photos.

Elliott Burford

His stuff is good look at it here

Lark Lane

Pretty chuffed about where I'm living this year, anyone thinking of coming to Liverpool give this place a visit as well

According to Wikipedia...

Lark Lane, Liverpool

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lark Lane
is a street in Liverpool, England, noted for its cafés, bars, boutiques, music venues

and bistros and has a bohemian reputation. Its proximity to student residences and the variety of

bars and restaurants makes it a popular venue as an alternative to the city centre

not bad eh?

Nightmare

I'm actually having blog withdrawal, unfortunately I haven't got the internet at my new abode as of yet but that will be sorted soon, I hope.
I have so much to update, including some photos of some sneaky bits of graffiti I did in Stoke.
Stoke's pretty run down in some areas and needs a bit of colour, so from now on it'll be my little to hobby to brighten the place up a bit. Aren't I kind.
Already got some ideas for some paste ups, so if anyone has got any good ideas for locations send me a message.
Also, just started back at uni so my creative juices should start flowing again soon as. mmm juices

A good day out

Well my call for someone to model for some photos was answered.
A great day was had by all, so happy with the pictures, ghostly and ethereal,
some are a bit scary too, in my sketchbook they go! Here's a few...

Mums are good

Look what I'm getting for Christmas, thanks to the advice of Nat Walker.
I asked my mum to get me this, even though she has no money.
Comes with 100 photos, and it will fit inside my bag, unlike the wide instax I have
Yaaay.

PJ Harvey

Great idea, using cut up images of porn and the black censored strip to create the lyrics to the song.

Birds with style

I Love Dust

Working for these guys would be pretty good. They do good shit...

Need Need NEED to see this

"Girl Power" an much needed look into Graffiti created my women!
In my opinion, just because we have ovaries doesn't mean we haven't got 'balls'.
Massively making my want to crack out my spray cans again, anyone want to join me?

Inspiration

M-city's giant painting in LA, very cool

A bit more

Couldn't help myself and had to post these.
I think someone should buy me one.
His name is Pavel Sidorenko and here is his stuff

Alexandra Valenti Photography

Quite similar to Mark Borthwick, but with a more Americana feel.
I think it's clear that I like this kind of ethereal photography. I'm going to try some of my own if anyone wants to model like Millie did for me.

Glennz

his work is kind of geeky, I like it. Not sure about them as t shirts but hey. his work has humour to it and looks good, have a gander.

GLENNZ

here's some to look at now if you are lazy...

A film about Facebook

And it looks quite good

Pencils FTW

This fellow is called Sam Thomas,

Morgan Blair

This is totally my style of illustration, if that's even what it is.
I love images drawn on wood, I love patterns and I love this style of drawing.
And no matter how good Photoshop and Illustrator get, people will still make this kind of work, a reassuring thought I think.

how cool is this

So simple yet so cool, the fact no one has thought of it before doubles it's coolness.

Bill Hicks

Yes, I know it's nothing new but Bill Hicks is a legend!
Here are some of my favourite clips of him, it's a shame he isn't still around to tell us his opinions of some of the shit that's going down as we speak.

More cool stuff

Casey Gray

M.A.Alford

Dan Funderburgh

It's probably a tad premature but I'm always thinking about what furniture and colour scheme I want to have in my house when I'm older.
It's just about going to be the coolest house one earth, you'll have to come and visit when I'm rich and have pissed my money away on expensive giant lamps, glass tables and vintage sofas.
When I saw this guy's work I immediately thought 'want that!' his print work is stylish and has a sense of humour.
Obviously this would be on one wall in the cloakroom dear.
Go on his website, its good Dan Funderburgh
